The clock starts at 12 seconds. Finish a word perfectly and you gain +1.4s; finish it with a mistake and you gain only +0.4s. When the clock hits zero, you're done.

Survival strategy
Accuracy is literally time here: a perfect word is worth three and a half sloppy ones. Type at about 90% of your maximum speed, never let a word go with an error you noticed — backspace and fix it before pressing space — and keep your eyes one word ahead. Reaching 25 words earns the 🧟 Survivor badge; the clock caps at 30 seconds, so long runs are about rhythm, not bursts.
