Learn touch typing, step by step
Thirteen short lessons from your first two keys to full sentences. Pass each lesson at 92% accuracy to unlock the next — accuracy first, speed follows on its own.
How touch typing works
Touch typing means every finger owns a small set of keys, and your eyes never leave the screen. It starts with the home row — the middle row where your fingers rest — then adds the top row and the bottom row one reach at a time. Most people finish the first five lessons in a single sitting and can feel the difference within a week of short daily practice.
The rules that make it stick
- Never look down. If you peek, the lesson restarts in your head — cover the urge, not your hands.
- Accuracy before speed. The 92% pass bar is deliberate: fast and wrong builds habits you must unlearn.
- Return to base. After every reach, fingers come back to F and J (feel the bumps).
- Little and often. Ten minutes a day beats two hours on Sunday.
